„La Real Cartuja de Valldemossa“ – Valldemossa’s charterhouse – is one af the most famous sights in Majorca. The 18th century monastery has been inhabited by some grand people in the 19th century. For instance, Frédéric Chopin and Gerorge Sand have been there in the winter of 1838/1839. If you have come all the way to Valldemossa, you shouldn’t forget to touch Chopin’s nose, his bust is on the right hand side of the square.
By the way, if you are on Majorca right now, why don’t you stop by at the XXXI International Chopin Festival. It is going on right now! At 22:00h, on the 14th, 21st and 28th you can listen to some nice piano concerts.
